Data leadership
Adopting AI responsibly
Roll out AI in the company with clear rules, the right safeguards and people who know how to use it.
Adopting AI responsibly means choosing the uses worth pursuing, providing approved tools, setting rules on data and review, and training the people who use them, rather than banning AI or letting it spread unchecked.
Article 4 of the EU AI Act asks companies that use AI systems to take measures ensuring, as far as possible, a sufficient level of AI literacy among the people who operate them, and the Act sets extra obligations for high-risk uses. Unmanaged use exposes the company to data leaks, errors and loss of trust.
A sound approach: an inventory of uses, a short usage policy, approved tools with suitable data protection, training adapted to each role, human review where the stakes are high, and a regular review of what works.
